Integral Pelvic Therapy® (IPT®) is a complementary health care technique that offers a holistic approach to pelvic health for women. IPT connects the medical with the emotional and energetic/spiritual world. IPT aims to restore the balance in the area of the pelvis, allowing full flow to the natural healing capacity of the body.

It is our mission to ensure pelvic health for every woman in a a safe and accessible way

IPT is suitable for every woman who wants to know more about her body and who has a request for help in situations like:

  • Pain during sex
  • Lack of sexual drive
  • Unexplained pain in Pelvic area
  • Unexplained (lower) back complaints or tailbone pain
  • Heavy menstrual pain
  • Uterus / bladder prolapse
  • Unintended urine loss
  • Chronic inflammations of the vulva
  • Trauma from sexual abuse
  • Traumatic delivery
  • Fertility problems
  • Painful/numb scar tissue after giving birth or Caesarean section

Integral Pelvic Therapy has an integral approach to the above-mentioned problems, which makes it possible to work in a strong solution-oriented way. Women often report to experience more softness and space in their pelvic bowl after one session, as well as a decrease of symptoms. They feel more in contact with their body and are better able to feel and express their boundaries. Many women also experience more pleasure in their sexuality and some are even capable of experiencing other forms of orgasms.

IPT is a complementary technique that works alongside and in cooperation with the medical field. An IPT Practitioner does not treat or diagnose any conditions, nor give advice on the process of a disease as this is clearly the field of the medicine. At this moment already some physiotherapists, gynaecologists, general practitioners, chiropractors and other health care practitioners refer clients to IPT and vice versa.

Become an Integral Pelvic Therapy Practitioner with the accredited Post HBO IPT Training (18EC)

We believe that Integral Pelvic Therapy (IPT in short) with its new holistic approach can play a key role in health care for women. IPT is quickly proving to be very effective and the number of Practitioners is growing.

For our own development we followed many training courses in very diverse disciplines in different parts of the world, as well as digging into a lot of literature to gain our knowledge and skills.

Daphne van der Putten and Mariëtte Frits have now combined their wisdom, knowledge, skills and experience to create the IPT Practitioner Training.

After completion, this training will enable you to set up your own practise or use the skills in your current field of expertise. This way pelvic health can be made accessible for every woman.

The IPT Practitioner training is specially developed for doctors, obstetricians/midwifes, bodyworkers, birth assistants (Doula’s), massage therapists and other professionals interested in this field.
